WHAT SETS US APART?
Distinguishing ourselves from “conglomerate/roster” companies that assemble musicians randomly, often leading to a lack of cohesion, or band leaders with confusing multiple lineups, leaving you uncertain about your wedding performers, and even giant entertainment companies managing numerous similar weddings, sounding like a mass market of wedding bands, is our “bespoke” approach. We offer a one-lineup band with committed, dedicated players who rehearse regularly and boast a history of performing together at hundreds of weddings over many years. Every musician in the band signs with us for a minimum of 2 consecutive years.
Exclusive service for your date – we never book two events on the same day.
No double booking – your event receives our undivided attention.
We avoid “bait and switch” tactics; if we’re available for your date, we are your band. Otherwise, we won’t push an alternative.

A NEW LEVEL OF ENTERTAINMENT: WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Unlike most bands, where typically only the lead vocalists occasionally walk out into the crowd, all our musicians—guitarists, saxophonists, and even the keyboard player playing keytar—walk into the crowd. Additionally, almost every musician sings backup vocals, and some, like the singer-keyboard player and singer-guitarist, take the lead. Instead of two lead vocalists, you’ll enjoy the talents of four amazing lead vocalists.

Meet Our Team
Yuval (UV) Golibroda – band leader
Even though some people misspell his name as Yuvi, the real UV (or Yuval Golibroda) is an outstanding musician, singer, songwriter, performer and The Sweetbeats’ band leader who’s had music in his blood since the age of 5. He began performing professionally at the age of 13, and earned a degree in music from the “world-renowned” Berklee College of Music (Boston, Massachusetts). He’s paid his dues as a performer by touring internationally with a wide variety of artists (playing everywhere from Israel, to Germany, to the Czech Republic, England, France, Canada and the United States). From all of this, he’s earned a stellar reputation as an excellent performer, musician, singer, songwriter, and band leader. UV has been the musical director of The Sweetbeats Band since 2018.
Heyssis Castillo is a fearless, energetic singer who will get you on your feet. She performs with The Sweetbeats Band as the lead female vocalist and thrives in the dynamic synergy of the group. She brings a strong background in vocal performance and dance while sharing her high energy with audiences across New England.
Charles Coleman is a super entertaining electric guitar player & one of the lead singers that will blow you away with his performance & energy on stage – just check out our videos!
Charles has been a performing guitar player since he was 11 years old. He is a former Berklee Alumni and has been playing in professional bands for 7 years now.
John Davies (JD) is a rock solid bassist that keeps the groove going! John grew up in Detroit, Michigan – exposed from an early age to his families’ richly diverse musical background. He was especially affected by his mom; who played piano and sang professionally. She was the catalyst for John’s musical career – as a virtuose bass player. While living in Detroit, John has performed with musicians of the most famous band “Funk Brother’s”, a group of Detroit-based session musicians who performed the backing to most Motown recordings from 1959 until the company moved to Los Angeles in 1972.
Matthew Heath – drummer/sound engineer that makes the band sound great! Matt started doing live sound and recording music in 2004, while attending Berklee College of Music renowned MP&E department. Music has always been a big part of Matt’s life. Matt is also a profound bass player and a drummer. Matt joined The Sweetbeats Band in January of 2020 and has done all the shows/events since.
Ahmad Rashad Buie is an incredible lead singer, dancer, performer who loves stepping out into the crowd singing and dancing along with the people! Ahmad has a super warm, people loving personality that shines through him in many different ways!
Growing up in Piscataway, New Jersey, Ahmad has always loved entertaining crowds through singing and dancing. His mother loves to tell stories about how he used to dance to old Barney The Dinosaur video tapes and watch Michael Jackson videos obsessively. Throughout his music career, he has performed with many vocal/music groups during his grade school years and while he was attending Berklee College of Music. This varied experience includes him working with multiple acapella groups, show choirs, and even a Parliament-Funkadelic ensemble. No matter what the occasion is, Ahmad is always ready to perform material that can get people movin’ and groovin’.
Janusz Kowalski is one of the most profound sax players in Boston as well as a great entertainer!
Janusz graduated from Berklee College Of Music in Boston. Janusz has toured around Europe including France, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia and Italy as well as the East Coast of the United States.

Sergei Ioannisyan – The Sweetbeat’s founder, band’s manager, and contact for the band. Sergei has worked at the renowned Berklee College of Music for 12 consecutive years. Sergei is a profound, world level drummer, band leader, and the band’s representative. Sergei founded The Sweetbeats band in 2007 and has since successfully taken the band to winning multiple awards of the industry including The Knot’s “Hall Of Fame and Winner of The Knot’s @Best Of Weddings” award 11 times from 2013-2023, and Winner of The “Couples’ Choice Awards” by Wedding Wire 9 times from 2014-2022!
